The area also offers good hiking paths and easy access to local attractions such as Heiligenhafen and Fehmarn, enhancing the overall guest experience.
One of the standout features of the hotel is its breakfast offering, which receives high acclaim for its variety, quality and the abundance of choices available. Fresh offerings, a rich selection of cereals, hot and cold dishes and a pancake machine are among the highlights. This delightful start to the day is complemented by excellent service from the staff, ensuring a pleasant morning experience.
Dinner experiences at the hotel, however, draw mixed reviews. While the à la carte dining options are praised for being delicious and well-prepared, the evening buffet has been criticized for its high cost and perceived lack of quality and variety. Lunch options, on the other hand, often receive favorable feedback. Some guests found the restaurant to be crowded, adding an additional challenge to enjoying the dining experience.
The rooms are generally appreciated for their spaciousness, comfort and cleanliness. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall atmosphere of the rooms is comfortable and pleasant.

Some inconsistencies have been pointed out, particularly concerning carpets and aging furnishings, but many have found the general standard of hygiene to be satisfactory.

While there are occasional mentions of staff being overwhelmed during busy periods, the overall service quality remains high, positively influencing the guest experience.
The hotel's spa and wellness area earns high marks for its serene and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the quality of the pools, saunas and additional touches like free sauna towels and bathrobes, which contribute to a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Although the pool and wellness amenities are highly appreciated, the hotel's free WiFi service receives significant criticism for its unreliability and poor performance, indicating a clear area for improvement.
The hotel's beds receive mixed reviews with some guests finding them comfortable, while others deem them hard or saggy and the pillows are often described as too soft.
Overall, despite a few areas that could benefit from enhancements, Strandhotel an der Ostsee largely delivers a positive experience with its stunning location, excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms and high-quality spa facilities. However, addressing the issues with dinner pricing, WiFi service and bedding consistency would further elevate guest satisfaction.
