The rooms are well-appointed with good amenities and the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere with lovely smells throughout. While some male staff could use more training, the staff are friendly, accommodating and go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. The hotel is particularly wonderful for families with young children and expecting mothers. The only issue some guests had was slow service during breakfast hours, but overall, their stay was outstanding.

The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto is a great place for tourists with a fantastic location. The staff are efficient and polite, providing great service to guests. Rooms are well-appointed with good amenities and it's a shame there aren't more shops on site besides Pierre Hermé. While some guests noted that some of the male staff could use a bit more training, overall the service was outstanding. The staff are friendly, accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure guests feel comfortable. The hotel is very welcoming with a great atmosphere and lovely smells throughout. It's particularly wonderful to see the great treatment the staff give to families with young children and expecting mothers.
