Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Panorama Green View Hotel in Nuwara Eliya is highly acclaimed for its exceptional location and variety of offerings. Situated close to the city center and key attractions like Victoria Park and the Pink Post Office, the hotel provides a tranquil yet central base for exploring the town. Guests particularly enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding greenery and appreciate the serene atmosphere, ideal for families and those seeking tranquility. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff further enhance the hotel's appeal.
Breakfast at the hotel is frequently highlighted as a standout feature. Guests praise the delicious and plentiful offerings with a wide variety of options including traditional Sri Lankan dishes, sweets, fruits, juice and coffee. The breakfast buffet caters to diverse tastes, leaving guests satisfied and ready for their day. The attentive staff, known for going above and beyond to assist guests, add to the positive dining experience.
Dinner options at the hotel also receive commendation for their diversity and taste, particularly the pizza, which is surprisingly well-regarded by many guests. Despite a few limited menu choices, the food quality is consistently high with good service and the ability to arrange meals upon request. The relaxed dining ambiance, including evenings at the snooker table, enhances the overall experience.
The hotel’s rooms are noted for their charming and spacious design, exuding 'old world' charm with features such as wooden floors and open fireplaces. Guests appreciate the large, comfortable beds with warm blankets and the cleanliness of the modernly furnished rooms. Balconies with picturesque park views and practical amenities like plenty of power outlets and kettles further contribute to a comfortable stay.
Cleanliness in the rooms is often praised, although the bathrooms receive mixed reviews. While many note the bathrooms as spacious and clean, there are consistent mentions of mold, mildew stains and dampness, indicating that the cleanliness of bathrooms requires attention.
The hotel staff receives high praise for exceptional service, characterized by their friendliness, attentiveness and willingness to help. Guests commend the personal attention and warm welcome provided by the staff, which significantly enhances their stay.
However, the hotel's Wi-Fi connectivity poses challenges, particularly in guest rooms where the signal can be weak or non-functional. Overall improvements in internet stability and speed would enhance the guest experience.
The beds, frequently described as very comfortable and equipped with warm blankets and quality linens, contribute to a restful sleep. The large size of the beds and mattresses, together with good-sized rooms and reliable showers, ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay.
In summary, Panorama Green View Hotel in Nuwara Eliya garners positive reviews for its prime location, charming rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner offerings and exceptional staff service. However, attention to bathroom cleanliness and Wi-Fi connectivity are areas for improvement.
