What is the history of the property?Unfortunately local archives cannot supply sufficient information about original owners but we know that at some stage the chateau was a summer residence of one of Napoleon's generals.

Given the architecture and the location of the house we think it was rather a bourgeois house than an aristocratic residence. Although the presence of the tympanum on the facade and the lack of internal decoration (usually a coat of arms / family insignia) may indicate the removal of aristocratic emblems during the Great Revolution.
What was the era and/or the architectural style in which the property was built?Louis XV
