Almarine Eiffel Hotel & Spa by Malone enjoys an enviable location in the heart of Paris, particularly valued by guests for its proximity to the Eiffel Tower and convenient access to various attractions, cafes, restaurants and shops. The hotel's serene street ensures a peaceful stay even in such a central setting and the nearby metro and bus stations make it an ideal base for exploring the city. Visitors frequently commend the friendly and helpful staff, who are noted for their warm welcomes and excellent service.
The hotel’s rooms, while small and somewhat outdated, are consistently highlighted for their cleanliness and comfort. Select rooms offer notable views of the Eiffel Tower and the daily towel changes and the inclusion of a fridge add to the convenience. However, the rooms could use some renovations and better maintenance with occasional issues like musty smells and poor soundproofing affecting the experience.
Breakfast at Hôtel de l'Alma evokes mixed reactions. It is described as a simple French petit dejeuner, consisting of croissants, baguettes, coffee, yogurt, cereal and marmalade, which some guests find tasty and reasonably priced. However, others critique it for its lack of variety and the unattractive basement setting. For those seeking a more substantial meal, nearby cafes and bakeries are recommended.
The cleanliness of the hotel stands out as a positive feature with frequent daily cleaning services ensuring well-maintained rooms and communal areas. Nonetheless, some guests have noted occasional lapses in cleanliness, such as dusty rooms and bathrooms needing more attention.
The staff at Hôtel de l'Alma is frequently praised for their pleasant and helpful demeanor with many staff members speaking English, which international visitors appreciate. Despite a few instances of less helpful service, the overall consensus is that the team provides a friendly and supportive environment.
Unfortunately, Wi-Fi service at the hotel is a common point of contention with many guests experiencing weak signals and frequent disconnections. While some found the internet service satisfactory, the general feedback indicates a need for improvements.
The beds receive a mixed evaluation. Many guests find them comfortable and commend the quality of the bedding and daily changes. However, issues such as small bed sizes, worn-out mattresses and general discomfort are cited by others.
Although the hotel's three-star rating is debated with some finding it more akin to a two-star establishment, budget-conscious travelers might still find it a viable option if they manage their expectations accordingly.
In summary, Almarine Eiffel Hotel & Spa by Malone offers a convenient and clean stay with exceptional staff in a prime Paris location. However, potential guests should be aware of the limitations in room size, breakfast options, Wi-Fi quality and some minor maintenance issues.
