Kingswood Hotel generally receives positive remarks for its convenient location, which provides easy access to local attractions, the town center, and transportation links, all while maintaining a quiet environment ideal for a restful stay. The on-site Indian restaurant, Gandhi, is frequently praised for its delicious cuisine, generous discounts, and exceptional service, adding significant value to the guest experience. The restaurant's convenient presence just below the hotel enhances its appeal, offering flavorful meals that guests enjoy throughout their stay.
However, the hotel faces criticism regarding room conditions and cleanliness. While some rooms offer a peaceful aspect and are spacious enough, issues such as inconsistent cleaning standards, outdated decor, and maintenance problems diminish guest satisfaction. Concerns like dust, dirt, and outdated bathrooms overshadow the tranquility of the location, and many guests express disappointment with uncomfortable beds and cleanliness of bedding.
Despite the drawbacks in room maintenance, the hotel staff shine through as a positive attribute, consistently praised for their friendliness and willingness to assist guests, creating a welcoming ambiance. The staff's approach is supportive and approachable, although occasional communication barriers exist. Overall, Kingswood Hotel offers a beneficial location and exceptional dining experiences, but improvements in room quality and cleanliness are essential for a more fulfilling stay.
