Coast Lonsdale Quay Hotel in North Vancouver garners high praise for its prime location and scenic beauty. Guests appreciate its proximity to the bustling Shipyards district, the SeaBus terminal for quick access to downtown Vancouver and the vibrant Lonsdale Quay Market. The hotel's waterfront location offers picturesque views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a sought-after destination for travelers. The convenience of large, soundproofed rooms adds to the allure.
Guest experiences with breakfast are mixed with some enjoying the ample and delicious á la carte options and beautiful terrace views, while others criticize the limited variety, high cost and inconsistent service. Despite these drawbacks, the breakfast setting with a vantage point over the city, is appreciated by many.
The rooms are frequently described as spacious, comfortable and clean with stunning views of the water and city. Daily housekeeping ensures well-maintained bedding and towels and the addition of in-room refrigerators and microwaves adds to guest convenience. However, some rooms exhibit dated decor and small bathrooms and there were occasional issues with cleanliness and noise.
Cleanliness overall is positively reviewed with well-maintained rooms and attentive staff contributing to a pleasant stay. Some minor oversights, such as missed spots or unclean bathroom fixtures, were noted, but these do not overshadow the generally high standards.
The staff receives mixed feedback. Many guests describe the team as friendly, accommodating and efficient with specific commendations for certain managers and the housekeeping team. However, some guests encountered less welcoming or unhelpful staff, pointing out inconsistencies in customer service.
Parking at the hotel is convenient due to an on-site underground garage, though the signage and navigation could be improved. Some guests found the parking fees and tight spaces challenging, particularly with ongoing construction and hidden charges.
Finally, the hotel's beds are widely praised for their comfort, contributing to a restful stay. While opinions on mattress firmness vary, the overall sentiment is positive and many guests highlight the beds as a key factor in their enjoyable experience.
Overall, Coast Lonsdale Quay Hotel stands out for its excellent location, stunning views, comfortable rooms and attentive staff, making it a favorable choice for travelers to North Vancouver.
