Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albany offers a mix of benefits and drawbacks for its guests. Its strategic location near major highways, shopping centers, dining options and entertainment venues makes it a practical choice for travelers. The hotel’s proximity to Albany International Airport and institutions like UAlbany adds to its convenience. Guests appreciated the ample and secure parking, making it accommodating for those on road trips.
However, the breakfast experience often disappointed visitors with minimal offerings far from the advertised full meal, creating a negligible breakfast option compared to expectations.
Room reviews were varied; while some praised the spaciousness and comfort of the beds, many found significant cleanliness issues. Reports of stains, odors, pests and general poor maintenance were recurrent, detracting from the overall experience. The hotel’s cleanliness problems extended to common areas, intensifying concerns about hygiene and upkeep.
Staff interactions received mixed feedback. Some guests experienced friendly and helpful service, while others faced unprofessional behavior and uncooperative attitudes from certain staff members. This inconsistency in service contributed to varied guest experiences.
The Wi-Fi service also drew mixed reactions. While some guests found the connection reliable and fast, others faced poor or non-existent connectivity.
For families, the hotel offered spacious suites and proximity to attractions, making it a viable choice for family vacations. However, concerns about noise and safety, including police activity, were raised, indicating that families might need to be cautious.
Finally, despite being a budget-friendly option and providing good value for money in some cases, many guests felt that the hotel did not meet the standards expected of a Wyndham property. The overall condition suggested the need for significant renovations to align with its rating and brand association.
In conclusion, while Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albany has its advantages in terms of location and pricing, consistent issues with cleanliness, maintenance and service quality may make it less appealing for some travelers.
