Hotel Asnigo presents itself as a beautiful four-star hotel, yet this designation appears to be met with mixed reviews from guests. While the establishment is charming and occupies a picturesque location, travelers without a car might find its position at the top of a steep hill inconvenient, often requiring a taxi for easier access.
The hotel's ambiance strives for luxury, yet certain expectations commonly held for a four-star locale occasionally fall short. Notably, breakfast offerings are described as mediocre and not meeting the typical standard associated with four-star hospitality. Similarly, room amenities lack some expected conveniences, such as the absence of an in-room kettle or coffee maker, which could enrich the guest experience.
Service quality and overall amenities generally align with the four-star claim, but nuances such as the €2 charge for pool towels are seen as detracting from the aspirational luxury image. Additionally, some infrastructure concerns, including small bathrooms with cracked tiles, have been noted, impacting perceptions of overall value, especially considering the relatively high price point inclusive of parking and tourist tax.
Despite these critiques, the hotel seems to have a promising allure, with guests expressing intent to return and highlighting aspects they found commendable. However, for the price, guests expect a bit more polish in service and facility standards. Overall, while Hotel Asnigo retains elements of a four-star reputation, it may benefit from refinements to fully meet guest expectations.
