The staff, particularly the hotel manager and his assistant, often receive accolades for their friendliness and professionalism, making the overall experience pleasant for many visitors.
The breakfast at HOTEL PARQUE PORRIÑO receives mixed reviews with some guests praising its practicality, generous portions and value for money, particularly the reinforced pilgrim breakfast. Positive remarks include the enjoyable coffee and homemade donuts. However, there are criticisms concerning limited variety, lack of gluten-free options and fruit and occasional issues with the service and cost.
Rooms at the hotel are generally described as spacious and clean with comfortable beds that many guests find a highlight, contributing to a restful stay. Some rooms feature balconies with views of the bustling church square. Despite the overall cleanliness, several reviews point out that the rooms are dated with noticeable wear and tear in furniture and fittings. These issues often coupled with minimal soundproofing lead to disturbances from the street and neighboring rooms.
Cleanliness is frequently praised with guests noting the tidiness and effective housekeeping that keeps both rooms and bathrooms in good order. However, some outdated and worn-out fixtures, such as antique furniture and rusty faucets, are still present and need attention.
The staff's reviews are a mix of high praise and significant criticism. While certain staff members are noted for their helpfulness and friendliness, reception staff often face complaints about being uncoordinated, unfriendly and unable to communicate effectively in English.
Free Wi-Fi is available but often unreliable, especially in rooms, working better on the first floor and lobby. Parking, on the other hand, receives positive feedback for its convenience, security and the benefit of being free, an important asset given the hotel's central location.
