It offers easy access to the freeway and is located in a safe, serene area, which many guests find ideal for both work trips and family visits. The proximity to Sarah Lawrence College is an added benefit for those visiting students.
Guests appreciate the spacious, clean and well-maintained rooms equipped with useful amenities like coffee makers and fridges. The modern facilities and overall property cleanliness are consistently highlighted. The hotel’s staff is often described as friendly, helpful and professional with specific recognition given to individuals who provide exceptional service. The attentiveness and efficiency of the staff greatly enhance the guest experience.
Breakfast at the hotel receives mostly positive feedback with guests valuing the variety and abundance of American-style options available. The complimentary breakfast is noted for high cost performance and convenience, especially for families. Cleanliness of the breakfast area and staff helpfulness are regularly mentioned as positives, although some guests encounter occasional issues with variety and taste.
The comfort of the beds also garners frequent praise, contributing to restful stays, although there are mixed opinions on firmness as it seems to boil down to personal preference.
The pool and fitness room are additional amenities that guests enjoy, though some find the pool’s operational hours restrictive and conditional access requiring a staff member to be inconvenient.

Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Royal Regency Hotel consistently receives positive feedback across various aspects of guest experience. Its strategic location is particularly well-regarded, offering easy access to bus stops, stores, restaurants, major highways and train stations. Guests appreciate the clean, safe environment and the convenience of free on-site parking, making it an excellent base for exploring Yonkers and even venturing into Manhattan.
Breakfast at the hotel is another highlight with many guests praising the extensive selection, quality of food and the option for custom-made omelets on weekends. The friendly and attentive breakfast staff add to the positive dining experience, making the start of the day enjoyable for most guests. The dinner service, although noted for its quality, has some inconsistencies such as availability issues, yet nearby dining options like a good Chinese food outlet offer a convenient alternative.
The rooms at The Royal Regency Hotel are generally well-regarded for their cleanliness and modern decor. Guests find the beds comfortable and the rooms spacious, contributing to a restful stay. The hotel’s unique 60s styled public rooms with chandeliers and gold ceilings add a touch of elegance and fun. However, some criticisms include noise disturbances, minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain amenities like microwaves. Despite these drawbacks, the overall consensus is that the rooms offer a comfortable and pleasant experience, bolstered by the helpful and courteous staff.
Cleanliness is a standout feature of the hotel with many reports of spotless rooms and well-kept bathrooms. The stylish appearance of the hotel contributes to a welcoming atmosphere. Though there are occasional complaints about dusty air from AC units or minor issues like dirty carpets, these are generally outliers in the largely positive feedback.
The hotel staff are frequently commended for their professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness. Standout employees like Mercedes and Maritza have left lasting positive impressions on guests, enhancing the overall guest experience. A few negative experiences with untrained or rude staff are noted but are not reflective of the general sentiment.
WiFi connectivity garners mixed reviews with some guests finding it reliable while others experience poor performance, particularly in the rooms. This is an area suggested for improvement.
Guests frequently highlight the beds as comfortable with many noting the quality of the linens and overall bedding experience. However, a few mention issues like noisy or sagging beds, indicating variability in guest experiences.
As a three-star hotel, The Royal Regency Hotel stands out for its character and unique decor. It offers good value for its price range, delivering a satisfactory experience with room for improvement in certain areas. Overall, the highly positive reviews reflect a hotel that offers a strategic location, clean and comfortable accommodations, friendly staff and a generally pleasant stay.
