Carleton Motel and Coffee Shop is highly regarded for its convenient and accessible location, which serves as an excellent base for travelers seeking to explore local attractions, particularly near the iconic Confederation Bridge. Guests appreciate the ease of access, ample parking, and the friendliness of the staff, further enhancing its appeal. The breakfast experience at the motel is praised for its quality, tasty offerings, and efficient service, though there are occasional availability issues. The motel's rooms, although basic, are spacious, clean, and equipped with practical amenities, such as kitchenettes and ground-level access, which benefit those preferring a simple yet functional stay.
Cleanliness stands out as a major positive aspect, with visitors consistently noting the well-maintained and spotless condition of the rooms. Daily towel changes contribute to a fresh experience, and the cleanliness is seen as surpassing expectations for those prioritizing tidiness. The welcoming and accommodating staff further enhance the experience, making guests feel genuinely cared for through attentive service and personal touches.
However, bed comfort is a significant concern, with many guests describing the mattresses as uncomfortably firm and dated, detracting from the overall stay experience. Issues like mustiness and even reports of bed bugs emphasize the need for improvement in this area.
Despite these drawbacks, Carleton Motel and Coffee Shop remains an appealing option for travelers seeking convenience and cleanliness, supported by a dedicated staff, tasty breakfast, and a prime location—all contributing to a satisfactory experience.
