At John Carver Inn & Spa, families are in for a treat with their awesome pool featuring a replica Mayflower ship/waterslide and a Plymouth Rock hot tub isle. Kids will absolutely enjoy the pool and water slide, while parents relax and unwind at the sauna. The pool area is generally clean, but some guests have noticed debris and strong chlorine odor. The availability of the slide can sometimes depend on the lifeguard's presence. The lifeguard service is reported to be inconsistent and some guests have had concerns about their attentiveness. Nevertheless, the pool is a great place for the little ones to have fun, while parents enjoy refreshing drinks from the poolside restaurant. The location of the hotel is also great with the harbor just a stone's throw away. Overall, a great place for families looking for a fun pool experience.

Summary of reviews related to the 'Pool' category
Summarized by AI
Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor's pool area receives a generally positive reception from guests, offering a fun and enjoyable experience, especially for families with children. The upgraded features and cleanliness of the pool are often highlighted, including the new pool slide area and splash pad, which, although powerful, still provide entertainment for the kids. Guests appreciate the convenience of the pool's location and its ability to provide a cool respite from the heat, noting ample seating and a good-sized pool area.
Despite the positive remarks, there are some points of concern. The pool temperature is frequently mentioned as being too cold, affecting the overall enjoyment for both adults and children. Additionally, some guests reported issues with the pool heater and felt that the hours for the splash pad were limited. On rare occasions, the pool area experienced a somewhat unruly atmosphere and a strong smell, which detracted from the experience.
While the pool's location near guest rooms is praised for its convenience, there are mentions of needing more etiquette from pool staff and clearer directions regarding the pool area in the rooms. Overall, the pool at Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor is seen as a valuable amenity, providing a fun and refreshing experience, though there is room for improvement in its management and maintenance.
