Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers stands out as an excellent choice for travelers, primarily due to its prime and convenient location. It is situated close to key spots like Cross County Mall, McLean Avenue and within a short drive to Woodbury Commons. The hotel provides easy access to a local college campus and NYC, while also offering a quiet environment thanks to its corporate office setting. This strategic placement allows guests to enjoy a serene and secure stay with ample parking available.
The hotel's reputation for cleanliness is frequently praised with guests noting the spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities. The inviting atmosphere and attractive decor contribute to a pleasant environment, further enhanced by the spaciousness and comfort of the rooms, which are suitable for both families and individual travelers. While some minor concerns were raised about the need for deeper cleaning and missing appliances like refrigerators or microwaves, these are exceptions rather than the rule.
Breakfast at Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers receives high marks for its variety and quality. Guests laud the fresh, hot food and the daily changes to the menu, which keep the morning offerings lively and appealing. Specific items like the breakfast turkey sausage and orange juice receive special mentions and the clean and welcoming breakfast area contributes to a positive start to the day.
The staff at the hotel are frequently commended for their exceptional service, particularly members like Stacy and Sophia at the front desk. Guests appreciate their courteousness, professionalism and willingness to assist, which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff play a crucial role in enhancing the overall guest experience.
Feedback on the pool is mixed; while many guests enjoy the clean facility and appreciate its late hours on weekends, issues with temperature and occasional overcrowding are noted. Additionally, the pool’s closure during weekdays and sporadic unavailability can be a drawback.
Parking at the hotel garners mixed opinions. Though the spacious and open parking lot is appreciated for its convenience, the daily parking fee of $12 to $16 is a recurring concern among guests. Despite this, the advantageous location and overall cleanliness of the hotel outweigh the cost for many visitors.
Comfortable beds are another highlight with most guests finding them to be conducive to a restful sleep. Although there are occasional mentions of discomfort and issues such as bouncy beds or old mattress sheets, the majority of reviews reflect a positive sentiment regarding bed comfort.
In summary, Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers excels in providing a clean, comfortable and convenient stay with a prime location, excellent hospitality and high standards of service. While there are minor areas for improvement, the overall guest experience is overwhelmingly positive.
