Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
LHP Certaldo Resort is praised for its exceptional location in Tuscany, providing an ideal base for exploring the region. Situated in a historic old mill by the river, it boasts charming and picturesque surroundings conducive to a relaxing stay. The hotel’s strategic position facilitates easy access to major cities like Florence, Siena, Pisa and the scenic town of San Gimignano, making it perfect for those eager to discover Tuscany’s attractions. Despite its proximity to a road and feeling somewhat isolated, soundproofed rooms ensure tranquility. Guests commend the hotel’s convenience, being within walking distance to Certaldo’s historic center, train station and funicular to Certaldo Alto.
Guests widely appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, who significantly enhance the overall experience with their exceptional service, politeness and attentiveness. The staff's professionalism and kindness contribute to the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere.
Breakfast at the hotel receives mixed reviews with many guests praising the variety, abundance and quality of the offerings, including fresh fruit, delicious coffee and delightful cakes. The effort of the staff at breakfast is also acknowledged. However, some guests feel the breakfast lacks diversity and adequate quantities, describing it as average or suitable for a 4-star hotel.
The dining experience receives generally favorable reviews with many guests commending the good quality of local dishes and excellent service, particularly from staff members Mauro and Giuseppe. The garden setting for dinner is appreciated, though the menu is occasionally considered limited and there have been instances of cold dishes being served.
Guest rooms are frequently highlighted for their cleanliness, spaciousness and modern amenities. Large, comfortable beds contribute to a restful stay and the well-furnished, elegant rooms enhance the overall appeal. However, there are minor suggestions for improvement, such as better lighting and more power points for charging devices.
Cleanliness is a top priority at LHP Certaldo Resort with numerous guests praising the immaculate condition of both rooms and common areas. Though there are occasional critiques about aging bedroom carpets and the pool, the general sentiment is that the hotel maintains a high level of cleanliness.
The pool area receives mixed feedback. While some guests appreciate its charm, garden setting and relaxing atmosphere, others feel the pool is smaller than indicated by online photos. Despite this, the pool area is valued for its serene ambiance.
Parking at the hotel is convenient with ample free parking spaces available in a private lot. This allows for easy access, including a direct train to Florence, making it suitable for guests with or without a car.
Overall, LHP Certaldo Resort stands out for its excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable and clean accommodations and convenient amenities, making it a favored choice for those looking to explore Tuscany while enjoying a relaxing and welcoming stay.
