Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Rey receives overall positive reviews with some minor areas for improvement, making it a commendable choice for travelers seeking comfortable and economical accommodation in a central location.
The hotel's prime location close to the central market, Plaza of the Immaculate Conception, Constitution Square and main square offers easy access to the city center. Despite being near bustling areas, the hotel maintains a calm atmosphere conducive to peaceful sleep. While the entrance through a garage and the poorly-maintained street are noted drawbacks, the hotel compensates with its private parking lot and the convenience of being near major attractions. The balance of room quality and price appeals particularly to budget-conscious travelers.
The rooms at Hotel Rey are frequently praised for their modern amenities, spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort. Guests find the beds particularly comfortable and the bathrooms are described as large and modern with reliable hot water. Smart TVs in the rooms add to the overall positive experience. Cleanliness is a standout feature with the cleaning staff receiving high marks for their attention to detail and friendly demeanor.
The staff at Hotel Rey is widely acclaimed for their friendliness, helpfulness and attentiveness. Guests regularly highlight the excellent service and the warm, accommodating atmosphere fostered by the team. The owner’s kindness is often mentioned and specific praise is given to the night shift receptionist for their helpfulness during late hours. However, there are occasional mentions of unprofessional behavior and inconsistent attentiveness from some reception staff members.
In summary, Hotel Rey offers a comfortable, clean and well-situated stay for travelers, backed by a generally friendly and helpful staff. Despite minor concerns about the street entrance and occasional noise, the hotel’s strengths in location, room quality and service make it a favorable choice for those visiting the city.
