Hotel Mas Camarena in Valencia advertises itself as a four-star property; however, numerous guest reviews suggest that it falls short of this standard. Many emphasize that the hotel's facilities are outdated and not up to the mark for a four-star establishment. For instance, there are consistent mentions of the poor quality of room decoration and limited amenities. Guests noted that basic supplies such as shampoo were missing and that the welcome amenities were insufficient for a four-star rating.
The service quality also appears to be a significant issue with reports of disorganization and lackluster experiences that some compare to a three-star or even two-star accommodation. Breakfast, specifically, was highlighted several times as not meeting the expectations of a four-star hotel with some guests struggling to even get breakfast.
The overall sentiment suggests that while the pricing might be acceptable for a three-star hotel, it does not justify the four-star rating it claims. Problems with cleanliness, including complaints about a pervasive bad smell and poor Wi-Fi quality compound the disappointing experience for visitors.
In summary, guests feel that Hotel Mas Camarena does not live up to its four-star rating and could benefit from significant updates and improvements in both facilities and services.

While the hotel enjoys a convenient location near Valencia airport, many feel it falls short of the luxury and quality typically expected from a four-star establishment. Concerns raised by visitors include outdated décor, poorly maintained walls, ineffective air conditioning, and the absence of amenities like in-room coffee-making facilities. Some have even highlighted issues with customer service and reliability of services like wake-up calls.
On a more positive note, the hotel does receive commendations for its value for money, particularly for those who have made last-minute bookings. Ilunion Valencia 4 presents itself as a four-star establishment but seems to fall short of meeting those standards. Many guests believe the rooms, bathrooms and services are more on par with a three-star hotel. While the hotel exterior and decor convey a modern and stylish ambiance appropriate for a four-star rating, various shortcomings dilute the overall experience.
The hotel has good general service, but specific complaints include a lack of amenities typical of four-star hotels, such as kettles or coffee machines in rooms and the quality and variety of breakfast options. Guests note that the appearance of the rooms could use an update and that minor issues in the bathrooms, such as non-functional elements, amplify the sense of deficiency.
Some elements like individually packaged toothbrushes do adhere to four-star standards, but consistent issues such as an inadequate supply of towels and a crowded, small pool are points of contention. Despite the modern decoration and good room conditions, the overall experience does not align with the four-star promise, making the price seem somewhat high compared to the value received.
The hotel's location, although a bit far from downtown, is nonetheless conveniently close to public transportation, which some guests may find valuable. The quality-to-price ratio is seen as decent, but the consensus is that Ilunion Valencia 4 does not quite live up to its four-star rating.
