Hotel Varandas do Sol's outdoor pool garners favorable reviews for its ambiance and views with several guests praising its amiable overlook of the pool and reservoir. Descriptions include the pool being perfect and excellent, often highlighting the well-maintained garden surrounding the area. However, the pool sometimes faced minor issues, such as being under construction or renovation, though this did not significantly impact guests' stays, especially during rainy periods. One noted drawback was that the pool's size was rather small in relation to the hotel's capacity. Despite these occasional shortcomings, the overall satisfaction and the attraction of the pool environment leave guests planning future visits, particularly in the summer, to fully enjoy the pool.

Hotel Pousada Icaraí stands out for its tranquil and picturesque location. Nestled near a serene lagoon and overlooking a beautiful reservoir, it offers guests stunning views that are perfect for relaxation. Visitors appreciate its calm atmosphere away from the busy city, though some note that dining options in the immediate vicinity are limited, especially for dinner. Nonetheless, those with a vehicle find it easy to reach the city center, making the hotel an idyllic getaway spot.
The hotel's breakfast receives high acclaim, frequently described as excellent, plentiful and delicious. Guests are particularly satisfied with the variety and quality of food, often deeming it perfect or amazing. The addition of a delightful afternoon coffee further enhances the positive dining experience.
Rooms at Hotel Pousada Icaraí offer spacious and well-ventilated accommodations with enchanting views, particularly those overlooking the lagoon. Despite some comments on simplicity and the need for minor maintenance, the rooms are generally clean and cozy. The serene ambiance provided by the lagoon-facing rooms is a notable highlight, although street-side rooms may experience occasional car noise. While navigating many stairs may not be suitable for everyone, the overall room experience remains positive for many visitors.
Cleanliness is a strong suit for the hotel with guests frequently commending the immaculate condition of rooms, blankets and towels. While a few reviews mention occasional lapses in cleaning, the general consensus portrays a very clean and tidy environment that contributes to the comfort of the stay.
The hotel's staff garners exceptional reviews for their politeness, attentiveness and helpfulness. From the moment of booking, guests feel welcomed and cared for with the reception earning particular praise for its excellence. Staff members, including individuals like Pamela, Jader and Ligia, are highlighted for their dedication and personable service, often going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. This remarkable hospitality creates a homely and kind atmosphere that significantly enhances the guest experience.
Mixed opinions are noted regarding the beds with some guests appreciating the comfort of soft mattresses. However, others report issues such as discomfort, noise and improper bed arrangements. The use of two single beds to mimic a double bed and the hardness of pillows are areas where improvements could be made to ensure a more consistently comfortable experience.
Overall, Hotel Pousada Icaraí excels in providing a peaceful retreat with excellent service, delightful breakfasts and clean facilities, making it a recommended choice for those seeking a relaxing and hospitable environment.
