The breakfast offerings are well-received, with many guests enjoying the quality and taste of the meals, particularly the Dominican cuisine. Although breakfast is not included in the room rate, it is available for purchase, offering a satisfying option for those looking for a simple and reliable meal. The presence of a restaurant across the road provides a local dining alternative for guests.
Regarding rooms, while cleanliness and spaciousness are frequently praised, the hotel faces challenges with maintenance issues such as malfunctioning showers and a lack of air conditioning. Barceló Bávaro Beach - Adults Only All Inclusive is a superb hotel that exceeded our expectations. The facilities and services were exceptional and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Despite the supposedly 5-star status, some aspects of the Beach facilities were outdated. However, the excellent staff made up for it with their friendly attitudes and commitment to excellence. Although some buffet items could have been better, the overall quality of the hotel was outstanding and we would definitely recommend it for anyone planning a trip to the area.

Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino offers a beautiful, modern aesthetic with top-notch facilities and luxurious minimalist design incorporating the latest technology. Many guests highlight the comfort and feel of a five-star experience, describing the overall ambiance as excellent and superb. The food is generally praised for its taste and quality, although some noted the use of canned ingredients and considered the drinks to be below five-star standards.
While the hotel's facilities and appearance meet high expectations, the quality of service is often inconsistent. Some reviews point to issues with staff behavior, language barriers and service shortcomings that detract from the overall experience. Maintenance is another area needing attention with some parts of the resort in need of repair.
Overall, while the resort holds high potential and delivers a visually impressive experience, it falls short in service aspects, which keeps it from living up to the full five-star promise. Improving these areas could align guest experiences more closely with the resort's ambitious branding and aspirations.
