The Fox Hotel has garnered generally positive reviews, praised particularly for its exceptional location in the heart of Ponce. Situated across from the Ponce Plaza, it offers easy access to vibrant attractions, restaurants, and historic sites, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. Guests frequently highlight the hotel's centrality and unique décor, which enhance the overall experience and complement its prime positioning. The staff is often commended for being friendly and attentive, further enriching the guest experience.
The dining experience at The Fox Hotel is well-received for its delicious and affordable options. While the hotel lacks a dedicated breakfast service, a charming coffee shop and various dining facilities offer quality food, including enjoyable pastries and diverse meal choices. Evening meals are complemented by lively entertainment options, although noise levels sometimes necessitate quieter alternatives. Guests appreciate the quality of food and the vibrant atmosphere, contributing to memorable family-friendly moments.
The hotel's rooms receive mixed feedback, with many guests praising their cleanliness, comfort, and beautiful décor. While some report issues such as odors, discomfort in bedding, and lack of windows, the rooms are generally seen as spacious and comfortable, with amenities that add a touch of luxury. Cleanliness is a consistent plus, though some areas, such as carpeting and bathrooms, could benefit from attention.
Despite the absence of in-room WiFi—limited to the lobby—visitors find the hotel a charming and stylish retreat, albeit falling short of expected four-star standards for some. However, the welcoming ambiance and supportive staff often leave guests with positive impressions of their stay. Issues with bed comfort and WiFi accessibility present opportunities for improvement, but the distinctive décor and vibrant environment at The Fox Hotel create a unique and enjoyable experience for travelers.

Many guests appreciate the large and very comfortable pool, describing it as clean, very nice and even exquisite. The pool area's design earns praise, often described as great and very nice, which enhances the guest experience. However, there are mentions of the pool being overcrowded and occasionally not clean. Accessibility to the pool can be challenging for some due to the entrance being hard to find.
