Boulevard Plaza presents itself as a 4-star hotel, but many visitors find it falls short of that classification, likening it more to a 2- or 3-star experience. Guests frequently point to outdated facilities, such as air conditioning that struggles to function and limited television channels, as issues detracting from the star rating. Additionally, the quality of breakfast items, particularly the baked goods, has been a point of dissatisfaction.
Despite these drawbacks, the hotel is noted for its good cost-benefit balance, especially appealing to those attending events in the Savassi area. Location wise, it remains a practical choice for event-goers, although parking can be challenging with a first-come, first-served policy that might catch some guests off guard.
While the property requires urgent updates and renovations to reclaim its former glory, as it no longer meets the expectations of a prestigious establishment, it still holds potential for travelers looking for basic accommodations at a reasonable price.
