PLAZA INN Köln Pulheim has received a mixed reception from guests, mostly pointing out discrepancies between the advertised four-star experience and their actual stay. Guests frequently mention that the hotel is in need of renovation, with dated rooms and furnishings requiring attention. The quality of some facilities, like the magnetic seal on the shower door, has led to inconvenience during stays, such as water leakage into the bathroom. Cleanliness standards are also highlighted as not meeting expectations for a four-star establishment.
The service at the reception appears to be understaffed, with guests noting long waits and inadequate assistance. Additionally, the price-performance ratio is a common concern, with several guests feeling that the room rates, parking fees, and breakfast charges are too high for both the hotel's location in Pulheim and its current condition. Many suggest that the pricing aligns more with a three-star rating rather than four. Despite its branding, the overall impression is that the hotel does not quite meet the standard anticipated by guests who choose a four-star accommodation.

The V8 Hotel Köln at MOTORWORLD is a unique and cool hotel that guests rave about. The facilities are particularly great with a fantastic breakfast and themed decor throughout. The staff are also friendly and helpful. While some guests mention a lack of amenities in the rooms, such as a kettle, tea and coffee and bathrobes, they still note that the hotel is a four star establishment. One guest also suggests that the hotel should provide shower gel and shampoo in smaller bottles, as is typical of other four star hotels. Despite these minor issues, guests overall have a great experience at this hotel and recommend it as a fun and exciting place to stay.
