Historic HotelThis prestigious property was built in 1897. In 1906 it was purchased by Moss Davis, the father of Sir Ernest Hyam Davis who was a New Zealand businessman and Mayor of Auckland City from 1935 to 1941. Many of the biggest weddings and social meetings in Rotorua in the 20th century were held within its walls.

Despite being an older, historic building, the property had great maintenance and upkeep. Some guests had issues with the dampness, but the hotel maintained its historic building features excellently. Prince's Gate Hotel is a great choice for those who want to experience a lovely historic building in a great location.
