Guests enjoyed the great room size with comfy beds and a great big TV and appreciated the extra steps taken for cleanliness amidst COVID-19. However, the cost of daily parking and no free wifi were mentioned as negatives. Some guests felt that it was a 3-4 star stay at a 5 star price and that the hotel did not deserve its 4-star status. Overall, the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines provided a pleasant stay for guests, but some found it short and expensive with uncomfortable beds and a lack of daily room cleaning.

The staff is friendly, accommodating and attentive, making guests feel welcome and taken care of. The hotel's garden and swimming pool are lovely and the views of the ocean and sunsets are fabulous. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel and its facilities. Despite some negative reviews, most guests highly recommend the Grande Colonial as a great place to stay and many plan to return again.
