Landhotel St. Florian's reviews generally commend its offerings, highlighting several key strengths while also pointing out areas for improvement.
Starting with its location, the hotel is lauded for its strategic placement near Schärding, providing easy access for travelers, particularly those on long journeys or cycling enthusiasts. Its proximity to the border, major highways and the convenience of its large parking lot are appreciated, making it an ideal spot for short stays or layovers. However, the hotel's positioning on a busy street brings some drawbacks, as street noise can disrupt the otherwise serene setting, particularly for rooms facing the main road.
Breakfast at Landhotel St. Florian is a significant highlight with guests frequently praising the plentiful portions, quality and variety. The continuous replenishment and the staff's friendliness further enhance the breakfast experience, making it a delightful start to the day. Despite a few describing the breakfast as average, the majority find it exceeding expectations.
Dinner and other meals at the hotel receive strong positive feedback as well with consistently high praise for the excellent, delicious regional cuisine. The beer garden, in particular, stands out for its alfresco dining atmosphere and great-tasting beer, adding to the overall dining pleasure.
When it comes to room accommodations, reviews paint a mixed picture. While many guests appreciate the large, clean and well-designed rooms and bathrooms, mentioning the comfortable beds and modern furnishings in some rooms, others point out outdated facilities and the occasional wear and tear. Issues such as torn fly screens, lack of air conditioning and the variability in room sizes are noted drawbacks.
Despite some criticisms regarding occasional cleanliness lapses in bathrooms, the general cleanliness of the hotel, including rooms and the beautiful outdoor area, is positively reviewed. The staff, in particular, receive excellent feedback for their friendly, efficient and accommodating nature, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Though opinions on the beds vary—some finding them comfortably clean and spacious while others experienced discomfort—the overall impression of the beds leans more towards comfort.
Overall, Landhotel St. Florian stands out for its excellent location, delicious food, friendly staff and general cleanliness, making it a commendable choice for short stays or layovers, particularly if one secures one of the more updated rooms.
