Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Inn on Maritime Bay, part of the Ascend Hotel Collection, stands out primarily for its exceptional location. Nestled by the historic bay, guests are treated to stunning views of Lake Michigan and enjoy easy walkability to both the lakefront and downtown attractions. Its proximity to artistic venues, delightful coffee shops, and scenic walking trails enhances the experience, making it a perfect base for exploration.
The inn's rooms receive high marks for spaciousness and comfort, complemented by recent updates that provide modern and pleasant interiors. While ongoing renovations are needed, the excellent staff and their exceptional service add charm to the stay. Guests consistently describe the staff as friendly and helpful, contributing positively to their overall experience.
Breakfast offerings at the inn, however, leave room for improvement. Many guests feel the options are minimalistic, focusing heavily on carbohydrates, with limited protein choices. While some appreciate the freshness and cleanliness of the area, an expansion of offerings would better meet guest expectations.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel presents a mixed picture. Guests generally find their rooms clean, yet inconsistency in maintenance affects other areas, such as corridors and the pool area. The pool and hot tub are appreciated for their size and amenities, though maintenance issues occasionally detract from the experience.
The beds receive frequent accolades for comfort, with many guests enjoying restful sleep thanks to king-size options and comfortable pillows. There are occasional concerns with the softness and stability of beds, but overall feedback suggests a comfortable sleep experience.
In summary, The Inn on Maritime Bay offers a memorable stay highlighted by its prime location, comfortable rooms, and responsive staff. Improvements in breakfast variety and consistent maintenance will enhance its standing further.
