The hotel offers a family room with a bunk bed, which unfortunately some guests found hard and uncomfortable. In addition, there is a cozy play area with games and a separate pool for children. The breakfast is outstanding with a wide variety of dishes including baked fish, smoked fish, crab, salads and kids' menu. The hotel also provides a modern gym, sauna and spa for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their kids. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport making it an ideal stopover hotel for tired families. Although there were some concerns about the early breakfast meat selection, which apparently caused illness on a flight, there are plenty of other options to choose from. Many families found their stay so memorable that their children insist on staying at Scandic hotels whenever they are in Norway.
