Hotel Egreta enjoys widespread praise for its prime location in the heart of the town, granting guests easy access to key tourist attractions, the Danube promenade, dining options and the port. The convenience of ample parking facilities right outside the hotel further enhances its appeal, despite some construction in the surrounding areas. The setting strikes a balance between vibrancy and tranquility, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the city and engaging with local culture.
The breakfast experience at Hotel Egreta receives mixed feedback. Many guests commend the rich, tasty and hearty breakfast options, paired with the friendly and professional staff who elevate the dining experience. While the terrace view during breakfast is an appreciated feature, the lack of variety, absence of healthy options and the serving style—which some guests find limiting—are points of criticism. The ambiance of the dining area also receives some unfavorable comments for its cold atmosphere, suggesting room for improvement in variety and presentation.
The rooms at Hotel Egreta offer a blend of positive and negative aspects. On the downside, guests frequently mention the small and cramped size of the rooms and dated furniture. However, the rooms are consistently described as clean, ensuring a hygienic stay. The comfort of the beds stands out positively, facilitating a restful night's sleep and some rooms even provide spacious accommodations. Useful amenities like kettles and mini-refrigerators add convenience, albeit not all are functional. Although the aesthetics may need renovation, the rooms provide a practical stay suitable for transit purposes.
In terms of cleanliness, Hotel Egreta impresses with well-maintained rooms and tidy common areas. Guests appreciate the spotless bed linens and towels, though there are occasional reports of not entirely clean towels and minor issues such as leaking showers. Despite these, the hotel's commitment to cleanliness remains evident, providing a clean, quiet and comfortable stay for guests prioritizing hygiene.
The staff at Hotel Egreta consistently receive high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness. Guests often highlight the kindness and professionalism of the reception team and the accommodating nature of the breakfast staff. However, there are occasional reports of less favorable interactions, suggesting the need for consistent training to maintain high service standards.
Finally, the beds at Hotel Egreta elicit mixed reactions. Many guests find them comfortable, contributing to good sleeping comfort and satisfaction. Cleanliness of the linen further enhances this experience. Nonetheless, some guests report uncomfortable mattresses, broken or creaky beds and unmet requests for specific bed sizes, indicating inconsistencies in bed quality that could affect the overall stay.
Overall, Hotel Egreta offers a well-located, clean and comfortable stay with friendly staff, decent breakfast offerings and rooms that, despite needing updates, provide practical and hygienic accommodations.
