Location

Samsara Ubud is a superb resort located right in the heart of the forest, providing unbeatable views and a serene, picturesque setting. While some guests found the location slightly far out from the main road and the access road a little rough, like many other resorts in Ubud, it is still very accessible and easy to get to most places. With rice fields just a short ten-minute walk away and taxis being very cheap, exploring the area is still convenient. Secluded and peaceful, this resort is a fantastic option for travellers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Ubud town. However, it is still about 40 minutes from the center of Ubud, so guests are advised to keep that in mind when planning their itinerary.

Breakfast

If you're looking for a hotel with an amazing breakfast, look no further than Samsara Ubud! Guests rave about the exceptional restaurant that offers tasty and delicious food, including excellent lobster and egg dishes. While some guests noted that the breakfast choices were limited, it was perfect for a 4D3N stay and others found the breakfast to be generous with a wide selection. The food is also fantastic with one guest highlighting the choco in the cornflakes. Although some reviewers mentioned the limited food choices and the freshness of the daily fruit, overall, the breakfast and food quality were superb. Kudos to the hardworking restaurant staff in the kitchen and service area. However, some guests did note that they encountered a bad smell on the way to the restaurant and long waits during breakfast. Overall, the breakfast experience at Samsara Ubud is one not to be missed and the hotel's restaurant is exceptional.

Rooms

Samsara Ubud offers incredible villas with amazing views and spacious rooms that have everything needed and more. Every villa comes with a pool, making it perfect to relax and take a dip during the Bali heat. Despite some minor issues like the air-conditioner leaking and fused bulbs, the rooms are nice and clean with amazing facilities. Some fittings may be slightly dated, but the overall design of the hotel and rooms is beautiful. Guests can experience the breathtaking jungle view from their private pool villa, which is by far one of the best in the Ubud area. The staff is extremely helpful and the food is delicious. However, there were some imperfections like old towels and housekeeping not removing empty bottles from the room. Some guests also noticed bedside lamp power cords being fixed with electrical tape, giving them a shock a few times. Robes were not provided in the room and there were numerous other minor issues like these. Nonetheless, the hotel offers a peaceful and beautiful environment to stay in with spacious and comfortable rooms that are definitely worth checking out.
