The Grand Hill Resort-Hotel offers an exceptional experience for its guests, highlighted by several positive aspects that make it a top choice for visitors, especially those vacationing in Puncak. Its prime location on a high hill provides stunning, clean views of the surrounding nature and beach, particularly from the rooms and pool area. Guests appreciate the hotel’s proximity to key attractions like Taman Safari, Puncak Pass and paragliding spots, as well as various amenities such as Arabic restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, markets and pharmacies. This central yet peaceful location lends itself well to morning jogs and a tranquil stay away from the hustle of car noise.
The breakfast experience at the hotel receives mixed reviews. Its diverse offerings cater to a broad range of tastes with many guests praising the tasty and well-prepared food. The breakfast area is also noted for its attractive setting. There are, however, some logistical challenges, such as items running out quickly and a lack of variety in Arabic dishes, affecting the breakfast experience for some guests. The hotel is working on improving its breakfast buffet and overall, the sentiment remains positive.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant is highly commendable with guests enjoying delicious local dishes and beautiful presentation. The varied menu caters well to different tastes, particularly suitable for Arab families. Although some note that the restaurant closes early and could improve service details, the overall dining experience is enjoyable.
The rooms offer spacious accommodations with spectacular views from balconies overlooking the pool, mountains and city. Despite some noise issues and facilities that appear outdated, the rooms are generally clean and comfortable with prompt and helpful room service enhancing the stay. Maintenance improvements in certain areas are needed, but the rooms still provide a pleasant experience.
Cleanliness in the hotel receives positive feedback with guests noting the clean and tidy rooms and the well-maintained pool area. However, there are inconsistent standards in some areas with specific mentions of musty smells and occasional maintenance issues. Overall, the hotel largely meets guests' cleanliness expectations.
The hotel's staff is consistently praised for their friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency. The reception and security personnel are prompt in addressing concerns and the overall hospitality significantly enhances guests' comfort and experience.
While the Wi-Fi service is a notable downside due to frequent issues with weak, slow and unreliable connections, the beautiful and clean swimming pool surrounded by green trees and hills is a major highlight. The pool offers panoramic views and is a picturesque spot for relaxation.
Families find the resort especially appealing, thanks to its warm, family-friendly atmosphere and amenities like playrooms, playgrounds and a well-maintained pool. The location near various attractions and restaurants makes it convenient for exploring and dining out. Despite needing better seating areas for Gulf families, the hotel remains a top choice for family vacations.
The beds receive mixed reviews with some guests finding them comfortable and cozy, while others report issues with hardness and discomfort. Cleanliness concerns and the lack of electric sockets near beds are additional points of feedback. There is significant room for improvement in this area.
Finally, the hotel lives up to its four-star status, providing good quality services, polite staff and thoughtful amenities like complimentary bottled water. Despite minor issues like intermittent Wi-Fi and occasional lapses in cleanliness, it stands out as a very good choice in a tourist area, frequently described as superb and exceptional.
Overall, The Grand Hill Resort-Hotel provides a picturesque, comfortable and enjoyable stay, making it highly recommended for visitors seeking both leisure and practicality.
