Hopewell Rocks Motel & Country Inn generally receives positive reviews, particularly highlighted by its exceptional location. Situated just a short drive from the renowned Hopewell Rocks and offering further proximity to natural attractions like Fundy National Park, the motel serves as an excellent base for exploring the area. Guests also appreciate the scenic, quiet setting and beautiful views of the bay.
Rooms are often described as clean, comfortable and cozy. They are spacious enough for families and some even come with nice views or balconies. While basic and showing signs of age in decor, the recent renovations in some areas add to the practicality and comfort. The clean and well-maintained beds contribute to a pleasant sleeping environment with many guests remarking on their comfort.
The cleanliness of the motel is commended, both in the rooms and communal areas including the pool, which is noted for being clean and kid-friendly despite occasional inconsistencies in heating. The staff at the motel are frequently praised for their friendliness and attentive service, which enhances the overall guest experience.
While breakfast opinions are mixed, many guests appreciate that it is included, noting the sufficient range of continental options such as juices, toast and yogurt. However, some felt the breakfast could benefit from more variety and better management. Dinner reviews are also varied with some diners enjoying the quality and reasonable pricing of meals like salads and lobster rolls, though others criticize the limited, fried-heavy menu and occasional service issues.
The wifi service is an area that could use improvement due to frequent reports of poor connectivity and unreliability. Despite advertising a heated pool, guests have mixed experiences with the temperature; nonetheless, the outdoor pool remains a well-maintained feature enjoyed by many.
While offering a solid three-star experience, the motel does face some challenges in accessibility, lacking an elevator to the second floor. However, the dog-friendly policy is appreciated by pet owners. Overall, the Hopewell Rocks Motel & Country Inn provides a good value, welcoming atmosphere and is particularly convenient for short stays and exploring the picturesque surroundings.
