The Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel boasts an ideal city centre location with fantastic pool facilities. Guests have access to a nice pool, sauna and jacuzzi, however, some were disappointed to find the jacuzzi out of order upon arrival. The pool and facilities are great, but some guests wished the pool could have been warmer. Despite this, many enjoyed a lovely swim in the morning and appreciated the added bonus of the nice pool. The cleanliness of the pool was noted, although a few guests found ring pulls off of cans at the bottom. Families with children liked the shallow end and everyone appreciated the staff who were helpful. Overall, guests had a great time using the pool and gym which were easy to use and appreciated the convenient location of the hotel.
