Hotel Palacio Matutano-Daudén offers guests a unique experience by blending historical charm with modern hospitality. Guests admire the hotel's beautiful setting in a former palace, which adds a touch of elegance to their stay. The hotel's remarkable architecture provides a privileged atmosphere that transports visitors to a bygone era, making it an admirable location for accommodation. Service is highlighted as exceptional, reflecting the dedication of the staff to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests.
However, the hotel falls short in certain areas when gauged against typical four-star expectations. Some guests feel that the rooms and bathrooms lack the charm and amenities expected of a four-star establishment. Notably, the absence of televisions in the rooms, attributed to the hotel's company policy to promote tranquility, is seen as unusual, with tablets offered instead but described as difficult to use. Additionally, the restaurant may need enhancement to fully align with the four-star standards.
Breakfast offerings are also noted to be sparse for a hotel of this caliber. While the setting is undoubtedly splendid due to its historical significance and architectural beauty, certain aspects of the hotel could be improved to truly match four-star expectations. Despite these limitations, many visitors appreciate the rare opportunity to stay in such a majestic location.
