Pestana Alvor Praia Premium Beach & Golf Resort features a spa area that elicits mixed reactions from its guests. The spa offers good massage treatments with many visitors noting their massage sessions were excellent and really good. Despite these positives, there are significant areas of concern regarding the spa facilities themselves. Numerous guests reported that the sauna was often out of order, lukewarm or dirty. The steam room also faced issues with some mentioning that it was not working. Similarly, the indoor pool has been described as cold and in need of heating with massage jets frequently turned off.
The overall wellness area appears to be dated and in need of renovation with several elements either not maintained well or outright closed. Specific points of discontent include the indoor spa's lack of cleanliness and the cold temperatures throughout the area. Many reviewers suggest that the spa amenities need substantial improvements to meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel. Despite these setbacks, the Hammam and indoor pool were noted to have potential but require significant upgrades to enhance the overall spa experience.
