Zanhotel Tre Vecchi appears to sit in a complex realm between expectations and reality for a four-star hotel. While it boasts a traditional and well-cared-for style, many guests found the hotel's facilities and services fell short of the four-star standard they anticipated. Frequent remarks highlight that the rooms, despite being clean, seem outdated and in need of renovation. Issues like poor soundproofing, an empty fridge and basic items missing, such as a soap dish in the bathroom, detract from the overall experience.
Guests also mentioned the breakfast experience as lacking with long waits for tables and a selection that did not meet four-star expectations. Additionally, low levels of cleanliness in some areas, such as dust accumulation, were noted. While the hotel does garner some positive notes for its character and effort to maintain its rating, it generally seems to deliver a three-star experience rather than the promised four-star luxury.
The service quality, while not heavily criticized, did not receive outstanding praise either, indicating room for improvement. Overall, while Zanhotel Tre Vecchi has some redeeming qualities, it appears that many aspects need enhancement to live up to its four-star rating reliably.

Hotel Metropolitan in Bologna presents itself as a four-star property, but reviews suggest it falls short of this standard. While the hotel's facilities and services have some aspects that meet four-star expectations, such as a clean, airy, modern ambiance with an informal elegant style, guests consistently feel that it does not fully live up to a true four-star rating.
Rooms are often noted for being undersized and lacking the level of luxury typical for four-star accommodations. The facilities and appliances need upgrades to better align with the promised rating and cleanliness has been a recurring point of contention. Privacy issues and noise levels detract from the overall experience, leading many to perceive it as borderline or barely worth three stars.
On a positive note, the hotel benefits from a central location in Bologna and features such as a rooftop bar and garden. These amenities, alongside the stylish design, add value to the stay, though the high price point has been critiqued in relation to the perceived quality.
The service, while acceptable, does not consistently meet the elevated expectations set by a four-star designation. The breakfast offerings and courtesy sets provided also do not hit the mark for this category, leaving guests desiring more in terms of variety and quality.
In summary, Hotel Metropolitan has potential with its central positioning and modern design features but currently falls short in various areas that define a reliable four-star hotel experience.
