Arbeyal is a hotel that offers a quiet and clean environment with its standout features being the cleanliness of the premises and the exceptional service provided by the staff. The rooms, despite being somewhat outdated and lacking modern facilities such as air conditioning, are generally clean and spacious with comfortable beds ensuring a good night's sleep. Guests particularly praise the friendly and attentive staff, which significantly enhances the overall experience, making them feel genuinely cared for and valued.
Located in an industrial area, the hotel is about 2 kilometers from Gijón's city center, making it more suitable for those seeking a quieter stay away from the hustle and bustle. Although the surrounding neighborhood may be unsettling for some with good bus connections and reliable taxi services, accessing the city center is convenient for those who don't mind the distance. However, this distance and the limited amenities tend to make the price point appear less favorable to some guests.
Breakfast options at Arbeyal receive mixed reviews with some guests feeling disappointed by the basic offerings and lack of gluten-free choices. The absence of an in-house breakfast service and a buffet leads to further dissatisfaction, especially when considering the high cost and limited selection.
Parking also presents challenges, as the hotel's parking area is small and difficult to navigate, particularly for larger vehicles. Despite this, some guests manage to find street parking nearby, although maneuverability can be an issue.
Overall, Arbeyal offers good value for money if one values a quiet and clean environment, friendly staff and comfortable beds. However, areas like the breakfast service, parking facilities and room amenities have room for improvement to fully meet and justify its 3-star rating.
