Hotel Sao Jose offers a good value for a three-star accommodation, living up to its rating. The hotel, while outdated, remains clean and functional, making it an adequate choice for those seeking a basic yet comfortable stay. The old decor and furniture give the hotel a dated appearance, but it still manages to provide the essential amenities expected at this price point.

Despite some areas being outdated and the lack of modern amenities, the hotel maintains a good cost-benefit ratio.

The White Box Boutique House offers a commendable price-to-performance ratio, making it a good value option for travelers. Despite its three-star rating, the facilities and services are appreciated for their balance of cost and quality. However, there are areas for improvement, such as the breakfast quality, which does not match the expectations for a hotel of this rating. The property lacks an elevator, which can be a significant inconvenience for guests with reduced mobility. Additionally, there were instances of rooms not being cleaned after the first day. For those prioritizing a central location in Porto and a reasonable price, this hotel presents a fair and beneficial choice, even if it falls short on certain premium amenities.
