Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Grand Hotel President is highly praised for its stunning location directly in front of the Ionian Sea, offering breathtaking sea views and private beach access through an underpass. This prime position makes it ideal for relaxation and exploration, especially for travelers touring the Ionian Calabria. Despite its central location near essential services and the main road, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere, creating a serene environment enhanced by well-maintained facilities and a pleasant pool area.
Guests generally have positive impressions of the dining options at the hotel. The breakfast is appreciated for its variety and quality, with both Italian and international styles available, though some guests note room for improvement in selection. The dining experience is elevated by a garden terrace setting, despite breakfast being an additional cost. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant earns accolades for its excellent cuisine and service, with a menu catering to diverse tastes. The grilled swordfish fillet is particularly popular, although there are occasional reports of less than perfect meals.
The rooms are described as spacious, comfortable, and clean, providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests. While some aspects might seem outdated, particularly in the dining area, the general sentiment about room size and comfort is positive. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is exceptional, with daily housekeeping maintaining immaculate conditions in both rooms and common areas, and the surrounding environment is noted as inviting and aesthetically pleasing.
The staff at Grand Hotel President are consistently lauded for their exceptional service, friendliness, and attentiveness. Professionalism and helpfulness are often highlighted, significantly contributing to the hotel's inviting ambiance. The pool area receives high marks for its large, clean facilities, including both adult and children's pools, and the proximity to the beach enhances the overall relaxation experience.
For those traveling by car, the hotel offers convenient free parking, although it can be crowded during peak times. Beds are generally comfortable, accommodating various needs, with some mixed opinions about pillows. Despite varying opinions about the hotel's four-star rating, Grand Hotel President remains a favored destination, particularly for its location, cleanliness, attentive staff, and engaging amenities.
