Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Originals Access, Hôtel Saint-Flour enjoys a favorable location, conveniently situated near the highway, making it an ideal stopover for travelers heading south or to the Mediterranean. Located in a quiet, commercial area, the hotel is within easy reach of various retail chains, shops and restaurants, including a Carrefour and McDonald's. Its well-marked route and proximity to key locations like the upper town of St. Flour add to its appeal, although some guests found the hotel initially challenging to locate. Ample parking facilities further enhance the convenience of this pleasantly situated establishment.
Guests have a generally positive experience with the hotel's breakfast. While the offerings are simple and not extensive, they are fresh, tasty and well-prepared. Fresh pastries such as croissants and chocolate croissants, along with coffee, tea and fruit juice, provide excellent value for money, often cited as economical at prices around 5.50 to 6 euros. Though some desired more variety, the breakfast is deemed an adequate and pleasant start to the day.
The hotel rooms are highly praised for their cleanliness and functionality. They are described as very clean and welcoming, although some may find them on the smaller side. The beds are comfortable and some rooms are more spacious than expected with amenities like TV and Wi-Fi. The bathrooms, whilst noted to be small by some guests, are consistently clean and functional. Some ground floor rooms overlook a charming green space, adding tranquility to the experience.
The hotel's cleanliness stands out with guests repeatedly highlighting the immaculate condition of the rooms and shared areas. The quiet and well-soundproofed environment contributes to a serene stay. Additionally, the friendly and hospitable staff, especially Jérôme, are frequently commended for their exceptional service, making guests feel welcomed and well-cared for from check-in to check-out.
Parking facilities receive considerable praise for being ample, free and conveniently situated with direct access to the rooms. The well-lit parking area ensures security and is appreciated for providing shelter from bad weather. The proximity to St. Flour with parking available at the town's entrance, adds to the overall convenience.
The beds are noted for their comfort with many guests appreciating the large and super-king sizes. While most found the bedding comfortable, a few remarked on mattresses being too firm. The hotel is recognized for its good-quality beds and quiet rooms, making it a suitable choice for long trips.
Lastly, the hotel is commended for its accessibility features, such as ground-floor rooms that are wheelchair accessible, offering convenience for guests with reduced mobility. While there are areas for improvement, such as narrow bathrooms and some access challenges, the overall accessibility and convenience of the hotel are highly regarded.
