Hotel Monte Carlo appears to offer a unique vintage charm and rustic atmosphere that many guests find appealing. It boasts an authentic period vibe that carries a certain gentle charm and character, making it a distinctive choice for those who appreciate a retro aesthetic. The hotel's price-performance ratio is considered fair by some reviewers.
However, it seems to fall short of the typical expectations for a three-star hotel. Guests frequently mention that its facilities and services do not align with standard three-star ratings. Remarks highlight the basic and simple nature of the breakfast, which many find subpar for a hotel of its supposed category. Further critiques mention that the hotel is in need of a makeover, as it holds onto the typical comfort of an older building with some even noting unpleasant smells and a sense of the property being stuck in a past era. There is a consensus that while the hotel has a certain charm, it does not meet the criteria usually associated with a three-star rating.
