The Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel is often praised for its strategic location, conveniently positioned between the cities of Khobar and Dammam, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel's proximity to key areas such as the Dhahran expo center, local amenities like the Panda supermarket and the Corniche Al Khobar adds to its appeal. Many guests also highlight the modern and comfortable rooms, along with the overall cleanliness and organization of the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel receives a mix of reactions with many appreciating the diverse and delicious options available, the clean presentation and its location next to the pool. Despite some criticisms regarding variety and cost, the breakfast generally garners positive feedback. Dinner experiences are similarly varied with some guests enjoying the Aftar Buffet and the atmosphere at Habak restaurant and Habq Cafe, though issues with cost, quality and occasionally loud music are noted.
Rooms at the Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel receive praise for spaciousness, cleanliness and modern refurbishments. However, issues such as inconsistent cleanliness, outdated furniture, poor ventilation and inadequate soundproofing are concerns. The presence of practical shortcomings like missing amenities and occasional maintenance issues also detract from the experience for some guests.
Cleanliness is a point of contention with the hotel being praised for generally clean spaces and well-maintained facilities. Nevertheless, there are reports of dust, unpleasant odors and inconsistent room cleaning services, indicating areas for improvement.
Staff interactions are largely positive with many guests finding the staff professional, friendly and helpful. Specific employees at the reception and management level receive commendations for resolving issues efficiently. However, some guests report negative experiences with uncooperative or poorly trained staff, especially during night shifts and housekeeping duties.
The Wi-Fi service at the hotel is a notable concern with multiple guests reporting slow and unreliable connectivity, particularly in areas like the pool and restaurant, which negatively impacts the overall experience.
The swimming pool area is generally well-received, providing an inviting atmosphere and a popular spot for relaxation. However, the lack of certain amenities, crowded conditions and early closure times are some areas that could be improved.
Parking at the hotel receives mixed feedback with guests citing issues related to limited availability, small parking spaces and the inconvenience of distance from parking areas to the hotel.
Regarding beds, the opinions are mixed with some guests finding the beds comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep, while others report discomfort due to hard mattresses and inadequate pillows. There are also comments about bed size discrepancies and a lack of child beds.
