Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Firriato Hospitality - Baglio Sorìa is a serene retreat nestled amidst the vineyards and olive groves of the Trapani countryside, offering guests picturesque views, including vistas of the Egadi islands and Erice. The stunning hilltop location is ideal for relaxation, featuring unforgettable sunsets and a tranquil atmosphere. Proximity to historical centers like Trapani and Marsala makes it a convenient base for exploring western Sicily.
The breakfast at Baglio Sorìa garners high praise for its quality and variety, featuring both sweet and savory options and local specialties. While there's a desire for more diversity and better gluten-free choices, guests generally enjoy a delicious and hearty start to their day. Dinner experiences are a highlight with exceptional cuisine that reinterprets traditional dishes and high-quality wine tastings. The dining atmosphere, excellent presentation and professional service elevate the experience, making it one of the best in Sicily.
Guests appreciate the spacious and beautifully adorned rooms, often highlighting the delightful private terraces and generous amenities. Cleanliness and comfort are recurrent themes, though some issues with room assignments and views are noted. The serene ambiance and well-furnished interiors contribute to a restful stay, despite occasional drawbacks.
The staff receive frequent accolades for their kindness, expertise, especially in wine knowledge and exceptional service. Standouts like Eleonora at reception and Vincenzo in the restaurant are particularly commended, making guests feel welcomed and well cared for. However, there are occasional reports of inconsistent service with some staff appearing disinterested.
While the Wi-Fi service is commonly criticized for being weak and unreliable, the pool facilities present a mixed experience. Some guests find the pool relaxing and well-maintained, while others mention cleanliness issues and lack of proper maintenance. Parking is convenient with a large lot and golf car transportation, though signage could be improved.
Beds at Baglio Sorìa receive mixed reviews. While many find them super comfortable, others mention issues like noisy or squeaky bedding and split mattresses. Despite these concerns, the hotel is praised for its clean, dog-friendly environment and fair pricing.
Overall, Firriato Hospitality - Baglio Sorìa offers a charming and restful escape with a blend of comfort, picturesque surroundings and exceptional dining, making it a delightful retreat in the countryside.
