However, some guests found the hotel to be a bit run down and overpriced compared to what they received. Despite that, most visitors appreciated the luxurious experience that the hotel provided and praised the great service received during their stay. Some guests were disappointed that for the high price of the rooms, certain things such as safes weren't working properly. Although, for the most part, guests were pleased with their stay, expecting it to be luxurious and classy, especially since it was someone's honeymoon. Additionally, some guests referred to the hotel as 'amerikanisch teuer.'
