Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Sunny Hill Hotel Apartments, perched atop a hill in the picturesque Chloraka area, offers guests spectacular sea and sunset views, combining serene surroundings with proximity to essential amenities and local attractions. Guests appreciate its strategic location near bus stop 615, facilitating easy and economical travel to both Paphos city center and Coral Bay. Local conveniences such as restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets and a 24-hour kiosk are within walking distance, adding to its charm. While the steep hill leading to the hotel might be challenging for some, especially without a car, the tranquil St George Beach and other beaches are a short walk away, making it an ideal spot for those seeking relaxation away from city noise.
The apartments provide spacious, clean rooms with large terraces offering beautiful sea views. Visitors enjoy amenities like equipped kitchens, separate entrances and panoramic balconies. Some rooms, however, are in need of refurbishment with dated decor and occasional issues with cleanliness and maintenance, including uncomfortable beds and outdated furniture.
The hotel’s breakfast generally earns praise for being delicious and filling, especially enjoyed in the pool-view breakfast area. A few guests found the breakfast options repetitive and lacking in variety with some concerns over food quality and hygiene. The dinner menu receives a mixed response with some guests enjoying the meals despite limited options and others noting the inconsistency in food quality. Luckily, the proximity to good local restaurants provides excellent alternatives.
Cleanliness is a point of contention; many guests commend the frequent cleaning routines and well-kept rooms, while others report lapses, such as dirty bathrooms and sightings of pests. Nonetheless, the majority appreciate the daily cleaning service and frequently changed towels and bedding.
The hotel's staff is widely praised for their friendliness, attentiveness and exceptional customer service with numerous positive mentions of individuals who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Minor negative encounters don't overshadow the overall positive reception of the staff’s service.
The free Wi-Fi service at the hotel is another mixed aspect with strong connections near the reception but weak and unreliable elsewhere, thus potentially frustrating guests needing consistent internet access throughout the property.
The pool area is highly regarded for being clean, relaxing and well-maintained, providing a tranquil spot for guests with modern amenities and accommodations for lounging. Despite minor maintenance issues, such as bugs in the pool and occasional uncleanliness, the overall pool experience remains positive.
For beach lovers, the hotel's proximity to several beaches is a significant advantage with accessible local beaches offering diverse experiences. While some prominent beaches require a short drive or bus ride, the general ease of reaching the shoreline is widely appreciated.
Parking is well-facilitated with ample free spaces, including covered options, making it convenient for those traveling by car. The hotel's parking setup receives generally positive feedback, despite minor challenges faced by owners of low-clearance vehicles.
Overall, Sunny Hill Hotel Apartments is valued for its breathtaking views, spacious accommodations and welcoming staff. While there are areas needing improvement, such as room updates, breakfast variety and Wi-Fi consistency, the overwhelming positives make it a charming and desirable choice for travelers seeking a peaceful getaway.
