Brauerei und Gasthof Frischeisen offers a charming blend of traditional appeal and modern updates, attracting visitors with its convenient location near the Danube. Situated slightly outside the central hub of Kehlheim, the inn provides easy access for travelers exploring the region, especially those on bike tours. Although an older building, recent renovations ensure guest comfort with spacious rooms and contemporary bathrooms. The inn is particularly noted for its dog-friendly policy and secure storage for bicycles and motorcycles, making it an ideal choice for cycling enthusiasts.
Guests often commend the hearty Bavarian dishes and locally brewed beer served at the inn, highlighting the appealing price-performance ratio and the friendly, attentive staff. Dinner in the evening is a delightful experience, despite occasional closures in the afternoon. The establishment's beer garden further enhances the dining experience, providing a serene venue for tasting local cuisine.
Breakfast, while functional and sufficient for a morning start, could benefit from increased variety and a more decorative presentation, especially with the lack of fresh fruits and vegetables. Nonetheless, guests appreciate the straightforwardness and value for money that breakfast offers.
Rooms are generally spacious and comfortable, receiving compliments for their cleanliness and practicality. The effective soundproofing ensures quiet nights despite the proximity to a main road. While some areas, such as water pressure and air conditioning, could be enhanced, the rooms provide good value for money.
One area needing improvement is the overall cleanliness and condition of the inn, particularly in communal spaces. While rooms are typically clean, issues like mold in showers detract from the guest experience. Upgrades in these areas could greatly benefit the establishment's appeal.
Wi-Fi connectivity presents another mixed aspect, with some guests experiencing reliable internet while others encounter weak signals, suggesting room for improvement in ensuring a seamless online experience.
Overall, Brauerei und Gasthof Frischeisen provides a comfortable stay with exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere. While certain areas could benefit from enhancements, its charm and accessibility make it a recommendable spot for travelers seeking relaxation and good food.
