Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Savannah Midtown stands out as a highly recommended hotel, celebrated primarily for its advantageous location, top-notch staff and comforting accommodations. Situated in the quieter yet accessible Midtown area, the hotel offers easy access to local attractions, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores, making it a practical option for both leisure and business travelers. The location strikes a balance between convenience and tranquility, away from the bustling city center but still within a short drive to downtown Savannah.
Guests commend the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, often describing them as spacious, modern and well-maintained. The beds and bathrooms receive particular praise for their comfort and size. While the occasional minor issue such as towel availability and specific furniture choices was noted, the overall impression is one of a clean and comfortable stay. Additionally, the property’s well-lit, pristine appearance and the convenience of in-room amenities like microwaves and refrigerators further enhance guests' experiences.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites also receives mixed but generally positive feedback regarding its breakfast offerings. Many appreciate the variety of options, including breakfast sandwiches, fruits and low-calorie choices, noting the friendly and attentive breakfast staff. However, some reviewers suggest improvements in the quality and variety of the breakfast items, as well as better table-clearing and replenishment practices.
Staff service at this hotel is frequently highlighted as exceptional with guests praising the team for their friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. The front desk staff, in particular, is often described as amazing and welcoming with specific mentions of individuals like Miss Donna adding a personal touch to the positive experiences.
Parking presents some challenges, especially for larger vehicles, due to tight spaces in the parking garage. Although the additional daily charge of $12 for parking is noted, many find the convenience of parking in the bustling city to be beneficial despite the cost and spatial constraints.
In summary, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Savannah Midtown provides a clean, comfortable and conveniently located stay supported by exceptional staff service. While there are some areas for improvement, particularly in breakfast offerings and parking, the overall positive experiences of guests make it a commendable choice for visitors to Savannah.
