Situated above the Obidos lagoon, the hotel offers panoramic views of both the lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop for guests. The proximity to a fine white sand beach adds to the appeal, making it an ideal spot for beachgoers and those who appreciate scenic natural beauty.
The hotel’s breakfast buffet receives generally positive reviews, praised for its variety, freshness and adherence to Covid safety measures. Although some guests find the breakfast repetitive or only average, the majority commend its quality and the convenient service.
Dining experiences, particularly dinners, have received mixed feedback. While some guests appreciate the convenience and ambiance of dining on-site, others express dissatisfaction with the quality and variety of the food. There is an overall sense that the dinner offerings could benefit from improvement.
Rooms at INATEL Foz Do Arelho Hotel are described as super clean and well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant stay despite the somewhat dated decor and small bathrooms. Views from certain rooms, especially overlooking the lagoon or sea, add significant charm. While the hotel appears to offer cozy and functional accommodations, guests have suggested updates to mattresses and the availability of more electric sockets.
Cleanliness is a strong point with the hotel consistently praised for its immaculate maintenance of both rooms and common areas. The well-kept environment combines with the property’s location to offer excellent value for money, further enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff.
The helpfulness of the staff is frequently highlighted with many guests noting their warm and welcoming demeanor. This positive interaction extends from the reception to the bar service, contributing to a memorable stay.
The hotel's pool area, particularly its infinity pool, is another standout feature, offering remarkable views and a relaxing atmosphere. However, the pool's seasonal availability, open only from June to September, is a point to consider for potential visitors.
