Hotel Freund - Privathotels Dr Lohbeck, positioned as a four-star superior establishment, has received a mix of feedback regarding its actual standing. While some guests feel the hotel matches its four-star rating, others express disappointment with services and facilities. Guests note that the service and attention to detail do not always reflect the expected standards of a four-star hotel, specifically mentioning staff responsiveness and overall service quality. Investments in the hotel facilities could enhance the guest experience, as some areas appear worn.
On a positive note, the hotel offers a fair price-performance ratio, suggesting value for money. However, expectations for a fitness-focused stay might not be met as guests hoped for more varied and challenging course options. Despite critiques about classification discrepancies, the accommodation itself generally satisfies, though it may lack the personal charm found in earlier visits. Overall, guests believe that while the hotel holds potential, enhancements would justify the four-star superior label it claims.
