Snorkeling in the clear water surrounding the beach is a favorite activity among the hotel's guests. Though the beach may have some rocky areas, it is still swimmable and offers a picturesque view. The beachfront restaurant provides a lovely dining experience and the hotel's exclusive bay beachfront adds to the beach's privacy. While there are some regulations in place to preserve the coral reef and part of the beach was suddenly closed during our stay, the hotel's private beach remains an excellent spot for families because the waves are calm and safe for children to swim. Guests also appreciated the hotel's location, excellent walking routes and the beautiful beach view that can be enjoyed from their hotel room. Overall, the private beach at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya is a perfect getaway destination, even with a few issues, such as the presence of small rocks and coral reefs.
