The Wingate by Wyndham Fletcher at Asheville Airport is a hotel that inspires mixed feelings. While some guests have had a pleasant stay for the price they paid, others were disappointed by the quality of the facilities and services. Some complained about the dirty and rundown atmosphere of the hotel, stating that it needed a complete refurbishing and staff training. Room 222 was even described to have bedbugs. The hotel is decent and passable, but the interior is dated and the exterior doors need repairing. Although the hotel is conveniently located for overnight stays close to the airport or while traveling up the Blue Ridge Parkway, some guests felt that it was on the pricey side for an airport motel, especially with additional charges for parking. However, many guests felt that the hotel was good value for the price and commended the breakfast. There may be some keycard issues, but for the most part, it's an okay place to stay for a night or two with no frills and a good location. Ultimately, whether you choose to stay here or not depends on your needs and your budget.
